Nodus provides the Local Associations Information Service (LAIS) Up2Date service which is a regular information service on issues of interest to local councils. It provides Local Associations with an easy way to receive brief updates on relevant matters which they can pass to local councils by their preferred communication route without having to research and design material themselves. Most commonly this information is passed through Local Association member email groups and/or their password protected member sites. A LAIS Up2Date bulletin is provided at least fortnightly.

Local Associations seeking in-depth support for themselves and their councils on the main strategic issues facing councils should also refer to the main LAIS service provided through Nodus. Together these products provide a comprehensive information support package for Local Associations wishing to increase their service provision to all sizes and activity levels of councils.

The product is provided electronically to your nominated email address for dissemination to councils within your boundary as you see fit.

• Nodus aims to support and raise the profile and value of Local Associations. LAIS weekly updates can be branded, adapted and used by subscribers as they see fit as long as the information is only provided to their own member councils.

• Nodus believes in clarity and transparency around services to Local Associations and individually costs each service provided to assist Local Associations with their assessments of value of services against outcomes for their members.

• LAIS is chargeable annually at £225 + VAT. The documents are provided to Local Associations and they can provide the documents with or without direct charge to their membership.
